About Us
Wanda Timmons¡¦ professional creativity and quality in the art of faux finishing is extraordinary as her resume is difficult to put into words. She is a conscientious business owner, a distributor of Faux Effects Silver Label products, and a perfectionist in creating professional grade faux finishes for her clients of over 23 years. She cannot only complete these creations...she can and does teach them to many who feel they could never attempt such a challenge successfully. Many of the pupils from the school in her studio have continued from student to successful owners of their own businesses. Others who already have such a business attend her classes from other cities and states in an effort to further develop their knowledge base and skills. Wanda has a remarkable talent for inspiring confidence in her students through her instruction in the art she has crafted so splendidly for her customers. She is the facilitator of transformation for those she mentors through teaching and advising and regards each student, each job as though her reputation depended on it.
Wanda began her training at the Faux Effects International, Inc. Studio in Vero Beach, FL and, over time, has attended further training. She continues to extend her studies all over the country from such well-known faux finishing names as Sean Crosby, Patricia Labeye, Jodie Baldanza, Joanne Nash, Gary Lord, Jacek Prowinski, Kathy Carroll, Barb Skivington and Donna Phelps in an effort to stay current and polished in her craft. Wanda has completed advanced instruction in countless classes of faux mediums. Her work has been featured in the local newspaper and magazines, in a book, The House that Faux Built, and in an instructional video. On October 25, 2009, Wanda and some of her students contributed to an episode of the ABC show ¡§Extreme Home Make-Over¡¨. The name Wanda Timmons in the world of faux finishing, whether it¡¦s walls, doors, floors, ceilings, or furniture, is synonymous with excellence in imagination and design performance.
